about Powder river ranch

Powder River Ranch is a 320 acre working farm located 15 minutes from downtown Des Moines in Cumming, IA. Owned by Mollie and Britt Baker (Meaghan's mother and stepfather), the farm is a family affair. The farm produces soybeans, corn and high-quality alfalfa hay.

 Powder River Ranch is home to Britt's string of 30 polo horses and a small polo breeding operation. PRR is host to polo tournaments throughout the summer.

Training + lessons

Meaghan has experience training both horse and rider to succeed in eventing.

Her clients include competitive Young Rider level riders and adults who want to have fun, compete and learn. Through her education and experience in the UK and in the USA, Meaghan has honed a coaching style that is sympathetic and inspires confidence in her students. She has plenty of exercises in all disciplines to keep lessons fresh and fun. As every good coach needs their own coach, Meaghan is committed to receiving training from some of the best in the business – and there's often an opportunity to train with other coaches when based with Marinovich Eventing.

 Meaghan has experience taking young horses from backing stages all the way up to Advanced level. She is skilled in instilling basics in young horses that help them succeed up the levels. She is flexible and can work with you to come up with the best plan for you and your horse.
