Powder River Ranch is a 320 acre working farm located 15 minutes from downtown Des Moines in Cumming, Iowa.

Owned by Mollie and Britt Baker (Meaghan’s mother and stepfather), the farm is family-run and managed, producing corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. Powder River Ranch is a former polo farm and host to major charity events in the area.

Amenities include:

  • 14 stall heated barn with oversized stalls and European fronts

  • Tack, feed, laundry rooms

  • Indoor and outdoor wash bays

  • 8 all-weather dry lots with Buckley fencing

  • 5 rolling pastures

  • 100x225 indoor

  • 150x280 outdoor with Martin Collins footing

  • Grass jump field

  • Full cross country course with banks and a water complex

  • Hacking on varied terrain

  • Maintained polo field

Board includes:

  • Purina grain fed twice a day, owner-provided supplements can be fed if desired

  • Free choice hay

  • Stall with ample bedding and auto waterer

  • Turnout in small groups in pasture or individual in paddocks

  • Blanketing services

$1,100/month

Powder River Ranch does not require, but strongly encourages, boarders to be in Marinovich Eventing’s full time training program. Limited stalls will open periodically for riders who wish to ride with Meaghan on a looser schedule.
